A Child Protection and Group Foster Care Home

New Home

India is the world’s largest democracy with a population of over 1.2 billion, 400 million of which are children.India’s lead agency has concluded based on research that there are 20 million orphans registered in India. Most of these are abandoned by their parents or immediate relatives. It has only been observed by the same organization that only 0.3 percent of these orphans are truly orphans in that they have lost their both parents. Destitute children are put at immediate risk because they are often seen as a burden on relatives and society in general. Their basic needs are neglected.

Children living in these situations are in danger of losing opportunities for school, health care, growth, development, nutrition, and shelter.  In short, their right to a decent and fulfilling childhood is completely neglected and hopeless.

Moreover, with the death of a parent, children experience profound loss and a heavy burden falls to the surviving parent. These children not only have to deal with the trauma of losing a parent but also a parent who is unable to meet their basic needs due to poverty and severe neglect. Thus, the threat of enslavement, forced labor, disease, homelessness, hunger and abuse are very prevalent among such kids.

New home has two seperate homes for Junior and Senior girls. Currently we have accommodated 50 girls in this building. The objective of New Home is to reduce the suffering of the abandoned, destitute, and vulnerable children by providing them the necessary support, protection, nutritious food, health care, and quality education along with life skills in a very caring environment so that they can become productive and dignified members of society.

We have a residential building and school at
